TFH Bible College History
The Father’s House has been committed to raising up high-capacity leaders for the body of Christ since its founding in 1996. Pastors Terry and Anita Mahan recognized the need was high for emerging leaders to have access to a more in-depth study of the Bible from a Spirit-filled perspective. The solution needed to include high-quality, solid Bible teaching that was also affordable and accessible to the busy life of today’s student.
After much research of school options, the leadership of The Father’s House decided to partner with CLST-Global and Christian Life Educators Network (CLEN) and establish it’s new online school. Pastor Terry has been an Instructor with CLST for 25 years and recognized the quality of the Institution.
On the 23rd Anniversary of the founding of TFH, March 31, 2019, Pastors Terry and Anita introduced TFH College of Biblical Studies.
CLEN AND CLST
CLEN and CLST, the content platform for TFH College of Biblical Studies, was founded by Dr. Ron Cottle, a pioneer in Spirit-filled distance education. Dr. Cottle’s teaching style has been called “scholarship on fire.” Dr. Cottle earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Florida Southern College, Lakeland, Florida; a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Lutheran Theological Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina; and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Religion from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He also earned a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) and a Doctor of Education (EdD) from USC.
Like Dr. Cottle, the instructors chosen for the courses offered by TFHCBS are those who have both a serious grounding in the Word of God as well as a heart on fire for the purposes of God.
May this endeavor raise up scores of new Christian leaders who follow after their example!
